Revolutionizing Student Mental Health Support

In response to the growing need for comprehensive student mental health support, The Fidelity Healthcare Group↗ employed the expertise of NetAesthetics to develop the Wellness Check Tool, a groundbreaking web application serving students across the Southeastern United States.

Purpose and Functionality

• Early Detection of Mental Health Issues: The primary goal of the Wellness Check Tool is to identify signs of depression and other mental health concerns among students at an early stage. By doing so, it enables timely interventions, which are crucial for effective mental health support.
• Automated Surveys: The application automates the distribution of mental health surveys to students. This automation ensures a wide reach, allowing school administrators to gather essential data without overwhelming manual efforts.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Using Google Looker for analytics, the tool analyzes survey responses in real-time. It provides insightful reports to school and district administrators, highlighting trends and identifying students who may require further support or counseling.
• User-Friendly Interface: The frontend, developed with React and NextJS, offers an intuitive and engaging user experience. This design ensures that educators and administrators can easily navigate through the tool, access information, and make informed decisions.

Technical Backbone

• C# Backend: The server-side of the application, developed in C#, ensures robust performance and reliable data handling.
• Azure Services Hosting: Hosting on Azure Services guarantees high availability, scalability, and security of the application, making it accessible and dependable for widespread use.
• Amazon SES Integration: Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) plays a pivotal role in the system, managing the efficient dispatch of login links, survey notifications, reminders, and mental health resources.

Mobile Prototype

In addition to developing the technical framework, NetAesthetics also crafted the user interface and user experience (UI/UX) of the Wellness Check Tool. Our design team worked closely with educators and students to create an interface that is not only visually appealing but also highly functional and user-centric.
